HERE’S SOME BTS

🍑 For this series, I wanted to play with angles and distortion. About halfway through, I realized the shapes kind of look like laptops and screens. Technology seems to be a reoccurring theme for me - which makes sense given that weaving and computers a Hear ye, hear ye - an announcement in the village square: I have new work now available at upriseart.com!

My name is Sarah Sullivan Sherrod (“share-udd”). You can also call me Sully. 

I’m a textile artist Snow days are the best lighting, so I cleared all the coats off the table to properly document the  fresh paint job I did in November. Color is “Rhine River” by @benjaminmoore, and it looks wildly different in every light and photo but th Twelve days in, I just sent off some Happy New Year cards. Seems like a good time to finally do a look back on 2025. 

I made 42 pieces last year. I got curious and turns out I make about 40-50 every year. That seems like a whole lot. I can’t g Here’s a little behind-the-scenes compilation of my pieces for ArtNOW at @okcontemporary. There’s still time to see the finished work in OKC! Makes for a great holiday break hang!
